Thomas Steck - American Folk Artist
While most young men were experiencing the "Summer of Love" in 1967, my Marine buddies and I were wallowing through a season of hate in Vietnam. My life changed that winter, however, when I met Jesus, the "Prince of Peace and Love". He became the potter and I the clay as He began sculpting my mind, heart and hands to do His work as His child.
I began creating folk art in 2002 and believe it is divinely inspired. All praise and glory belongs to Him for the people this work touches.
My weapon of choice is a sword (the Bible), having traded in my rifle (M16) many years ago.
God has chosen to use me in His army as a servant and has allowed me to become a Deacon to accomplish His wonderful work.
